The genesis of the Buzz Killers occurred in 2009 when the buzzing interference drove our CEO crazy. Moving his phone from one side of his desk to the other, and ultimately on the floor (where it was promptly forgotten), the CEO had had enough. Research on the topic of cell phone transmission frequencies, rumors and myths found on the Internet, and tireless trial and error of various materials yielded a solution in April 2009. The Eureka! moment then turned into a torrent of activity to build a useful, stylish, affordable product and a nimble customer-oriented consumer products company. "Buzz Kill Coasters" morphed into several other names and concepts before being finalized as the Buzz Killer Card. The Buzz Killers is a small, privately-held firm based in New York City.
